Santa Train

Pikes Peak Cog Railway has partnered with the Manitou Springs Kiwanis Club to help staff their annual Santa Train experience. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to bring smiles to the faces of so many children and to raise funds for our efforts to serve children locally and around the world.

Santa Claus is coming to town!  Come enjoy a COMPLETELY NEW EXPERIENCE with Santa Claus and his elves as you take the Cog Railway to Minnehaha and learn the story of Santa on Pikes Peak.  This 45 minute round trip will not take you to the top of Pikes Peak, but will take you 2 miles up our tracks to the historic Minnehaha Siding.  On your way up, you will get to ride the train with some of Santa’s elves and learn the story of Santa Claus on the mountain!  You will stay on the train for Santa’s story and take the ride back to the Depot with hot chocolate and cookies.  When you get back to the Depot, you will be welcomed by Santa and his elves at the North Pole!  There will be music, activities, gifts, and an opportunity to visit with Santa.  Don’t forget to bring your cameras because this is a trip you won’t soon forget!  Space is very limited, so reserve now.

**Children 2 and under are free, as long as they ride on a lap.

Who knew Santa's sleigh was a big red train? Come ride the Pikes Peak Cog Railway to the Minnehaha Siding. Although this train will not take you to the top of Pikes Peak, it will offer you and your family a very unique Christmas experience. Ride the train with Santa's elves, take pictures, and enjoy some hot chocolate and Christmas cookies during your trip. At the end of the trip, come visit Santa and particiapte in Christmas activities while you wiat. Space is extremely limited, so reserve your spot now! Be sure to continue checking our website regularly for available trains. When making a reservation, be sure to select "Santa Special" from the available options. TIMES

During the Holiday season, we will be running at different times on different days. In December, our trains will run at various times on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Beginning Saturday, December 17th, we will run Santa Trains every day until Saturday, December 24th. These trains do sell out very quickly so be sure to check the Cog's website to see available trains, or call them at (719) 685-5401.

POLICIES

TICKET CHANGE POLICY

If you would like to change the date or time of your trip, you must do so no later than 48 hours in advance of your scheduled trip. You cannot change your trip online; you must call the ticket office to make any changes. Tickets are moved on a space available basis – if you wish to move to a train that is sold out, you will need to choose a different time. Changes cannot be made to your reservation within 48 hours of your scheduled departure time. If you have any questions or wish to make changes to your reservation, please call (719) 685-5401.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to the fact that this is a Special Train, there are NO FULL REFUNDS for cancellations. There is a $5 cancellation fee PER TICKET if reservations are cancelled 48 hours or more in advance of your trip. You MUST cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance for a PARTIAL refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled departure time, there is NO REFUND whatsoever on your tickets. Cancellations must be made over the phone so call (719) 685-5401 if you have any questions or would like to cancel your reservation.

TICKET PICKUP POLICY

Trains begin boarding 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Therefore, tickets must be picked up at the ticket window NO LATER than 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Tickets not picked up 20 minutes before departure will be considered a "No-Show" and will be cancelled and sold to standby passengers. If you know you will be late, but will still be in time to catch your train, you MUST CALL the ticket office to arrange to hold your tickets; otherwise, they will be cancelled. STANDBY POLICY

If you wish to go on a train that is sold out, you may be put on a standby list. Standbys are listed on a first come, first served basis. If spots on a Santa Train become available, we will call or email you to inform you. If you are on a standby list, there is NO GUARANTEE that you will be placed on a train. All of our reservations are prepaid and very few cancel. If you already have a reservation for a Santa Train, you cannot be put on a standby list for another train – you cannot be on the standby list AND have a reservation.
